The historic ship "RIŽANA"

The "Rižana" is a vessel that has a history as founded in Rovinj in 1881, so it is under the tutelage of the Ministry of Culture. She was later restored as recently as 1941, then in 1987 and2003.
It boasts measures M18 x 5.20 x 1.56, with tonnage of ton. 27.

The "Rižana" was built at the shipyard of the Brothers Benussi, where in the second half of the nineteenth century were made of different types of sailboats, including the lugger was well known in Istria. One of them is precisely the "Rižana.

The lugger, of its kind, was a thoroughbred. Not a boat any but a real spaceship, prince of smaller trades. We find along the banks of Trieste, Pola and also near the coastal steamboats along the banks of Rovinj, Porec, Piran, Koper and others.
